Promote economic development of the underprivileged and deprived areas in Delhi

AdminDecember 27, 2022December 27, 2022

NEW DELHI: More than 7,300 households have been granted ownership rights, and over 4.1 lakh individuals have enrolled for the PM-Unauthorised Colony in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna (PM-UDAY), according to Union Minister Hardeep Puri on Saturday. On October 29, 2019, PM-UDAY was launched to provide ownership rights to inhabitants of Delhi’s 1,731 unauthorised colonies (UCs). It was done for the promotion of economic development in Delhi.

So far, 4,19,485 persons have registered under the PM-UDAY, and 7,329 households in unauthorised colonies in Delhi have been granted ownership rights. Puri, the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, tweeted in Hindi.

He also uploaded a two-part video from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) that provides a step-by-step explanation for individuals to register online.

This scheme’s registration is entirely online.

It is indicated in the film that if a person is unable to do it at home, he or she may travel to the local Common Service Centre (CSC) or call a registered organisation empanelled to help individuals in conducting the registration for a modest cost.

The DDA has been designated as the nodal agency for the project. It uses satellite imagery from 2015 to outline the borders of these UCs with the assistance of the Survey of India and the Revenue Department of the Delhi government.

“We made a commitment, and we kept it,” Puri said.

“People living in illegal colonies who will be granted ownership rights would no longer have to dread bulldozers or be concerned. The registration procedure is quite straightforward “he said.

The DDA would examine papers and issue conveyance deeds for government properties and authorization slips for private lands solely for residential use under the plan.

NEW DELHI: A total of 4,731 conveyance deeds and authorisation slips were given under the Pradhan Mantri Unauthorised Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) till February 26, Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. PM UDAY YOJANA

Puri said in a written response to a query that the Delhi Development Authority received 61,184 applications for allocation of rights under the programme on the PM-UDAY site till February 26, of which 23,884 were processed and 12,959 were disposed of.

“As of 26.02.2021, 4,731 conveyance deeds and permission slips have been given under the Pradhan Mantri – Unauthorized Colonies in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojana (PM-UDAY) Scheme,” Puri stated in response.

People living in illegal colonies may seek ownership rights to their homes under the plan.

Puri noted that the application submission and processing process is easy, information technology-enabled, and accessible online.

In 2019, the Union Cabinet accepted a plan to provide ownership rights to those living in illegal colonies. Later, Parliament approved legislation granting residents ownership rights.

Later, the Central Government implemented the PM-UDAY plan, under which persons residing in these colonies may petition for property ownership rights.

STATE OF THE ART NEW DELHI: Union minister Hardeep Puri said on Saturday that more than 7,300 households have been granted ownership rights and more than 4.1 lakh individuals have enrolled for

the PM-Unauthorised Colony in Delhi Awas Adhikar Yojna (PM-UDAY). On October 29, 2019, the government of India introduced PM-UDAY to provide people living in 1,731 unauthorised colonies (UCs) in Delhi the legal right to own their homes.

There have been 4,19,485 registrations under PM-UDAY, and so far 7,329 households in Delhi’s unrecognised colonies have been granted ownership. Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Puri sent a tweet in Hindi.

He also linked to a two-part video from the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) that provides a detailed guide for completing the registration process electronically. Pm uday yojana

The signup for this plan may be done entirely in cyberspace.

If a person is unable to register at home, they are encouraged to visit their local Common Service Centre (CSC) or get in touch with a recognised organisation empanelled to help individuals in conducting the registration, for a small cost.

The DDA has been appointed as the scheme’s nodal agency; the Survey of India and the Revenue Department of the Delhi government will use satellite images from 2015 to define the UCs’ borders.

We made a promise, and we delivered,” Puri added.

“Those in illegal colonies may now rest easy knowing they have legal standing to build and own their homes. The sign-up procedure is straightforward, “That’s what he had to say, he clarified.

The DDA will review applications and issue transfer deeds for publicly owned property and authorization slips for privately owned land that may be used only for residential purposes under the programme.

So, the sub-office registrars are where the beneficiaries may go to get these papers recorded.

Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri reported to Rajya Sabha on February 26 that 4,731 conveyance deeds and authorization slips had been granted under the PM-UDAY programme for slum residents of Delhi.

Registration of Persons with Disabilities

Puri said in a written response to a query that as of February 26th, 23,884 applications had been processed, and 12,959 had been disposed of, out of a total of 61,184 applications for rights grant under the plan submitted via the PM-UDAY site.

Puri said that as of February 26, 2021, 4,731 conveyance deeds and authorization slips have been given under the PM-UDAY scheme for redeveloping unauthorised colonies in Delhi.

People in illegal settlements may petition for legal title to their homes under the programme.

Puri further noted that the application submission and review process is straightforward, IT-enabled, and accessible over the web.

So, the Union Cabinet adopted a plan to give residents in illegal colonies the ability to buy land in 2019. Sometime later, a measure giving citizens full property rights was ratified by Parliament.

The PM-UDAY plan, later implemented by the Central government, allows residents of these colonies to legally claim their homes.
